Growth Analysis and Urban Land Needs Study

Lanie Hurdle, the City’s CAO, recently presented a study from Watson and Associates to the SPEAKingston Board on Kingston’s housing, population and employment. The report notes that the City’s is forecast to increase by 60,400 permanent residents and 27,000 permanent households over the 2021 to 2051 period.  Employment is forecast to increase by 33,400 from 2023 to 2051.
